Inspiration Costs Perspiration

Do you have people around you who dare to make eccentric choices?  Who seem to know what’s really important to them in leading their lives?  Who do everything they do with passion, whether it’s at work at play or in their relationships?

It’s as if they have an invisible source of inspiration which gives them strength and focus, a source which appears magically from nowhere, an inalienable personal gift.

But inspiration doesn’t just land in your lap; you have to seek it out.

But when looking for inspiration the standardized ideas about “the meaning of life” are no longer good enough; nowadays everyone’s expected to come up with his own answers to life’s questions.  These answers then form the basis of one’s very own “life project”.

It is remarkable how very divergent sources of inspiration can be.  Nature, Art, language – each to his own.  And for some the “higher calling” of spirituality or the Church.  But even work can be a source of inspiration.

Do you have an idea what your source of inspiration is?  If so then you’ll know that if you want to stay inspired, you can never stop developing.  Because being inspired takes effort!
